Using Catalyzing Coaching®, I support you in finding your own answers to what you want, what it takes to get there, and how to make it happen. We work towards something, with a forward-looking, solution-focused approach.

Coaching is an effective way to move forward, especially if you:

  • Want to find goals and direction in life

  • Feel something is not quite right but are unsure what it is

  • Struggle to find balance in life

  • Need motivation

  • Want to take action on something

  • Want to stop doing something

  • Wish to develop a healthier relationship with yourself and those around you

  • Need a new mindset for an upcoming challenge

I work with both live and digital coaching. Together we set up a plan for the coaching, including the long term goal, the numbers of coaching sessions, time between coaching sessions, and what else is important for you. The duration of a coaching session is usually around one hour. Generally it’s good to let at least one week pass between sessions, but the coaching arrangement is flexible.

What I offer

Coaching

Coaching is a personalized process aimed at helping individuals unlock their potential, set and achieve goals, and overcome challenges. It provides guidance and support while empowering individuals to find their own solutions. The focus is on growth, self-awareness, and achieving progress based on personal strengths and circumstances.

  • Coaching leads to personal development on multiple levels. It helps you break habitual thought patterns and create new perspectives. Coaching fosters self-awareness and teaches you to own and solve your problems. Over time, it can improve your relationship with your inner self, boosting your self-esteem. It may also lead to greater acceptance of your circumstances and, most importantly, of yourself. If desired, coaching can result in a behavioral change. Ultimately, coaching helps you grow as a person in the ways that suit you best.

  • Coaching fosters confidence in yourself and your abilities. Solutions you come up with yourself tend to be more sustainable in the long run than those suggested by others. The coach supports you in setting goals, finding strategies to achieve them, and reflecting on and celebrating the success that comes from reaching your objectives.

Feel free to read more about why coaching works on the Psychology Today website

  • Coaching is about the coach supporting you in:

    • Finding your own answers to what you want

    • Determining what it will take for you to get there

    • Taking the necessary steps to achieve your goals

As your coach, I do this by asking you questions and giving you exercises designed to encourage new ways of thinking and offer fresh perspectives.

It's important to understand what coaching is not:

    • Coaching is not therapy. We do not delve into the past to resolve traumas or uncover the reasons behind emotions or behaviors. Instead, we work towards something - focusing on forward-looking, solution-oriented progress.

    • Coaching is not advice. As your coach, I will not tell you what to do or offer advice. We operate on the belief that you are the expert on yourself and your life. Rather than giving advice, I support you in discovering solutions that suit you and your reality.

My journey

The challenge

From a young age, I was a goal-orientated person and knew what I wanted. Relatively early in life, I achieved the professional and personal goals I had been striving for. However, after hitting a serious burnout in 2015, I began to view my life differently.
I changed my diet, focused on balancing my hormonal health, started training more intentionally, and prioritized recovery. I returned to work and felt better. But gradually, new thoughts emerged, like “What do I really want now?” and “Who am I outside of my professional role?”

A new beginning

In 2019, when I saw an opportunity for coaching that an acquaintance posted, I decided to take the chance. At the time, I had no real understanding of what coaching entailed. That marked the beginning of a new life journey. In 2022, I resigned from my job and took a leap into the unknown as an entrepreneur. Around the same time, I ran into my former coach, who suggested I look into Gothia Academys education in Catalyzing Coaching. What I read about the education on Gothia Academys website sparked my curiosity and resonated deeply within me.

To find a new way

I have always had a desire to help people and I was convinced that counseling was the best way to do so. I also love meaningful conversations.
Gothia Academy described how one by the means of coaching could assist people by supporting them in finding their own answers to what they want, what it takes to get there, and how to make it happen. Without giving advice or being an expert in their subjects or situations - in Catalyzing Coaching, it’s assumed that each person is the expert on themselves and their own reality.

The coaching training at Gothia Akademi was a transformative experience. I gained the tools to help people in a new way - through coaching conversations.
